Cub Scouts explore PennDOT

The Tiger Scouts of Pack 57 recently visited the PennDOT Lackawanna County maintenance office on the Morgan highway in Clarks Summit, the Lackawanna County base of operations for snow removal and road maintenance. The boys toured the salt stockpile and plow trucks and also saw first-hand vehicle maintenance being performed on several trucks, including plow trucks and a road sweeper. After touring the garage, they met the radio operator who explained his role in keeping road crews alert during the winter.
