Janet Marie Engles Russell, R.N., 43, of South Abington Twp., died Monday, Dec. 21, at home. She was the wife of Jeffrey Russell. The couple celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary Sept. 4.
Born July 20, 1966, in Scranton, she was the daughter of Dennis, ÿwhose wife is Dorthy Engles, Moscow, and Linda Kingdom, Johnstown, N.Y. She was a 1984 graduate of Johnstown High School, Johnstown, and was a certified registered nurse, having received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Misericordia University, Dallas. She worked as a registered nurse in area hospitals and was employed by area nursing agencies.A dedicated caregiver, she was a loving and devoted mother.Also surviving are four children, a son, Jeffrey Jr., and a daughter, Elizabeth Jean Russell, both at home; and a son, Robert Sheehan, and a daughter, Brianna Sheehan, both of Scranton; a stepbrother, Dennis Engles, and a stepsister, Stacey Correa, both of Scranton; aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.A memorial Mass was to be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
