At the Parents Loving Children through Autism (PLCTA) conference, Robert Naseef, Ph.D., will be presenting information and tools for developing and maintaining an emotionally healthy family, when the family includes a child with a disability or special needs. Topics will include understanding and coping with the challenges of everyday life, issues facing siblings, working as a couple to raise a child with special needs, reducing stress and the meaning of acceptance.
Family members, caregivers and anyone who lives with or supports individuals with disabilities may attend the conference on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Allied Services Community Room, 475 Morgan Highway, Scranton. Info: PLCTA headquarters at 570.341.3388.
