Ronald James Trainor, 50, of Charlotte, N.C., died Tuesday, Dec. 22, in Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.
Born Feb. 23, 1959, in Scranton, son of the late Roland and Margaret Lee Trainor, he was a 1977 graduate of Dunmore High School. He had a lifelong career in the printing industry and had been employed by Sencvo Communications, Charlotte. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and photographing the outdoors. He was a sports enthusiast and was an avid fan of the Giants and Red Sox. He had a great devotion for supporting children on Indian reservations. Surviving are a daughter; two sisters, Donna Novorsky, Scranton; and Leslie Trainor, Dunmore; two brothers, John “Jack” Trainor, Scranton; and William and wife, Andria, Dunmore; an aunt, Alice Maglio, Dunmore; nieces, nephews and cousins, including Marie “Bunny” and husband, John Armbruster; and lifelong friends, James and Charlene McAndrew, Clarks Summit. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Judith. A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
