WAVERLY TWP. — On Thursday, Jan. 28, the Waverly Community House, 1115 N. Abington Road, held its first in a three-part wellness series with presenters Behnam Bakhshandeh, author, speaker and executive coach and Dr. Mary Elaine Southard, advanced practice holistic nurse. Participants learned how to develop awareness and maintain self-care practices and disciplines that will energize positive changes by making well-being a contagious practice.

The next class in the series, “Anatomy of Upset,” will take place from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 and will cover how to reduce upset and create more joy and balance in one’s life.

The last class, “Healthy Nutrition,” will focus on learning how to use food as an avenue to wellness by identifying intolerances that trigger inflammatory reactions and chronic health problems. “Healthy Nutrition” is offered from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31.
