Comedy Show To Benefit Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, July 11 at The Inn At Nichols Village 1101 Northern Blvd., Clarks Summit. Jammin’ in a Jugband, 1 to 2:15 p.m. July 13 through 17 at the Dietrich Theater, Tunkhannock. For ages 13 to adult. Join Timothy Walker and David Driskell, PCA rostered artists, and create and make music with homemade instruments such as the washboard, washtub bass, spoons, whistles, saws and jug. Participants will also learn about conventional instruments such as the guitar, banjo, clarinet and saxophone. The Pennsylvania Lyric Opera Company will fuse their talents with Marywood University students and community members to present the opera, “The Magic Flute,” in English.
