TUNKHANNOCK — Visitors at the Endless Mountains Nature Center will meet distinctive local animals, including a grey fox, opossum, porcupine, flying squirrel and an albino crow, during the Amazing Animals program at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 30. Kathy Uhler, director of the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center (PWREC), will show the creatures and explain characteristics of each.

In her presentation, Uhler will discuss how to prevent injury and disease transmission from animals to humans. She will explain how the PWREC treats wildlife and inform the audience about how to deal with wildlife issues in a safe and effective manner. Uhler will explain natural history, the study of plants and animals and ways in which people can coexist with the rich diversity of wildlife native to Pennsylvania.

Admission to Amazing Animals is $5 per person. Nature Day Camp participants registered in 2015 and their siblings may attend free. For more information, call 570-836-3835.
