HARRISBURG — The Rev. Peter Raser, pastor of the Factoryville United Methodist Church, was invited by state Sen. Lisa Baker, R-Lehman Twp., to serve as the Senate of Pennsylvania’s guest chaplain during the Oct. 21 Senate session.

Baker offered remarks on the state Senate floor detailing Raser’s nearly 20-year history as a pastor. She noted that while he only assumed pastorship at the Wyoming County church on July 1, she is very familiar with him as he previously served as the pastor at her home church, the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church in Luzerne County. He replaced Pastor Lori Welch Robinson at the Factoryville congregation.

Raser and his wife, Amy, have three daughters.
