The Abington Heights guidance department will host two upcoming events geared toward high school students.

A presentation for parents and students who will be taking the SAT or the ACT this year will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16 in the high school auditorium. The presentation will focus on the difference between the SAT and the ACT, as well as the changes to the SAT that will take effect in March 2016. This presentation will help students, particularly juniors, plan for taking standardized tests in the spring.

On Monday, Dec. 7, the department will host a Financial Aid Night from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Financial Aid officers from the University of Scranton and Marywood University will give an in-depth look at the different types of financial aid and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). There will also be an opportunity to have questions answered by experienced professionals.
