Abington Heights Special Education Department holds informational session for parents

The Abington Heights School District Special Education Department held a informational session for parents on the topics: “What is OVR?” and “What is Early Reach Initiative?”on Oct. 27.

Each October for the past three years, parents and community members received information on two programs which prepare students for the workforce beginning from age 14 through adulthood. Students from the Abington Heights High School National Honor Society volunteered are the event.

The next parent session is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 17 on the topic of “What is an Individualized Education Program (IEP)” and will be held at the district’s Administration Office, 200 E. Grove St., Clarks Summit. All community members are welcome to attend.
