SCRANTON — Steamtown National Historic Site announced its upcoming holiday train rides are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 27 and 28, and Saturday, Dec. 5.

Guests can enjoy a roundtrip train ride from Steamtown’s Boarding Platform to the historic Moscow train station. While there, the Lackawanna & Wyoming Valley Railway Historical Society will provide family-oriented entertainment and activities to celebrate the holiday season.

During the visit, guests may tour the restored passenger station and freight house and take photos of the train crew and Santa. Hot dogs, hot chocolate, and snacks will be available for purchase. Each family will also receive a small gift while visiting Moscow Station.

See the Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Society site for departure times, pricing and reservations, at showclix.com/event/holiday-train-moscow.

The “Scranton Limited” and “Nay Aug Tunnel” short rain rides will continue operating Fridays through Sundays until Saturday, Dec. 19. These 30-minute train rides depart from the Roundhouse boarding area at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 and 2:30 p.m., operating with a historic diesel locomotive. There is an additional charge of $5 for this ride.
