Traditional and contemporary holiday music to highlight December performances at Marywood University

SCRANTON — Marywood University’s music, theatre and dance department announced its December performances, which are free and open to the public. The schedule is as follows.

• Guitar Christmas Concert, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4 in the Marian Chapel in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.

• Junior Wind Band Celebration, 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 on the main stage in the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts.

• Chamber Singers Mid-Winter Songs, 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 in the Marian Chapel in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.

• An Afternoon of Strings, 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8 in the Marian Chapel in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.

• Marywood Wind Ensemble, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9 at the Little Sisters of the Poor Holy Family Residence, 2500 Adams Ave.

• String Project’s Holiday Concert, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 on the main stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts.
