Bill Kern, executive director of Countryside Conservancy, accepts a check for $3,500 from PPL Electric Utilities’ Alana Roberts in support of the Trolley Trail in Lackawanna County. The check presentation completes PPL’s commitment of $10,500 to support Phase 1 of the multi-use public trail. The company also donated a half-mile of former trolley right-of-way in Glenburn Township to the conservancy in 2009.
