December wins the prize for being the quickest month to arrive. How can it be here already? This last month of 2015 brings with it memories of a wonderful year and bright hopes for the new year to come.
Looking back at past 2015 events at the Dalton Community Library, I remember exciting children’s programs and smiling faces from little ones who earned prizes for reading, friendly faces of the patrons who attend our adult programs, book and bake sales that brought our community together to find a “good read” and support our library and, of course, the hustle and bustle during the hours children are visiting and the excitement and sounds of the StoryTime and Kid’s Crew groups.
There’s something for everyone at Dalton Community Library and, if you’ve been through our doors, we thank you If you’re thinking of visiting, you’ll find a new friendly, favorite place.
During the holidays, our regular hours will stay the same, but take note we are closed on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and 25, and on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. Our regular hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The adult programs will continue as usual throughout December: Majong at 10 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, and Bridge groups at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays. Book Clubs will meet on schedule, too. StoryTime and Kid’s Crew will be held the first Tuesday of December, Dec. 8, and then will be on break until after the new year. Anyone with scheduling questions can check our website lclshome.org/dalton or email questions to [email protected]
We look forward to the new year ahead and thank our community for the participation and support given. We wish everyone Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a Happy New Year!
