SCRANTON — The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute announces the Judi H Rock On 5 planning committee raised $20,465 from this year’s event held Sept. 27 at the St. Mary’s Center.

The Judi H planning committee is made up of a group of friends and family of the late Judi Hartridge, of Dunmore, who died from breast cancer in 2007. To honor her memory, family and friends formed a committee- Judi H Rock On, to raise funds to fight the disease that claimed her life.

The group has raised more than $200,000 over the past five years which includes matching funds. Proceeds from the event support NRCI’s Patient Navigation Program, which helps low income, uninsured and underinsured individuals in northeast Pennsylvania receive their recommended breast, cervical and colon cancer screenings.
