SCRANTON — State Rep. Marty Flynn will provide assistance to older residents with questions about Medicare or health insurance coverage during his monthly outreach Dec. 15, while a staffer from his office will provide outreach assistance on all state-related issues on Dec. 16 in South Abington Township.

An APPRISE counselor will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 15 at his Flynn’s main office – 409 N. Main Ave., Scranton, to help answer questions about original Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans, Medigap plans, Medicare drug plans, PACE/PACENET and various low-income assistance programs, such as the Medicare Savings Program and Extra Help.

Appointments are suggested by calling Flynn’s office at 570-342-4348. Next month’s Medicare outreach will be on Monday, Jan. 11.

The South Abington outreach visit will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 16 at the South Abington Township Building, 2nd floor meeting room, 104 Shady Lane Road, Chinchilla. Next month’s outreach visit will be Wednesday, Jan. 20 at the Clarks Green Borough Building, 104 N. Abington Road.

Flynn’s staff can help with the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program, PennDOT paperwork, unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation, PACE/PACENET prescription-drug coverage, unclaimed property searches and any other state-related matter.

Flynn’s main office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
