CLARKS SUMMIT — The Excellence in School Theater Arts Awards (ESTA Awards) announced its first fundraising event, “Love Songs of Broadway,” a musical revue to celebrate love, just in time for Valentine’s Day, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12 at Genetti Manor in Dickson City.

The ESTA Awards is a program designed to celebrate the theatrical productions of the high schools in Lackawanna County, and especially the talented students involved in these programs. The program will host its fourth year of awards this year, and organizers hope this fundraising event will not only be a night filled with music, but will also generate community interest and involvement for the high schools that participate.

High schools involved in the past include Abington Heights, Lackawanna Trail, Lakeland, Mid Valley, North Pocono, Old Forge, Riverside, Scranton, Valley View and West Scranton.

Jillian Kemmerer, a member of Ghostlight Productions and a long time music and theater lover and performer, is the founder and organizer of this event.

Tickets for “Love Songs of Broadway” are $20 per person or $35 per couple and will include entry into the event, light refreshments, and a cash bar. They can be purchased online at nepaesta.eventbee.com. For more information, email nepaesta@gmail.com.
