Summit University of Pennsylvania’s Theatre Department will bring Oscar Wilde’s ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ to the stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 25 through 27 in the Phelps Student Center on campus. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at SummitU.edu/events or by calling 570-585-9000. The play is directed by Dr. Brian Maxwell, who is assisted by technical director Jonathan Strayer and student stage managers Emma Finke and Kassi Leonard. Cast members include Joshua Heffner, as John Worthing; Mickey Gonzalez, as Algernon Moncrieff; Joel Gardoski, as Rev. Canon Chasuble; Josiah Hall, as Merriman; Ben Wilcox, as Lane; Grace Doolittle, as Lady Bracknell; Abby Mappes, as Gwendolen Fairfax; Michaela Christie, as Cecily Cardew and Allyson Kochanek, as Miss Prism.
