CLARKS SUMMIT — SIAMO, the newly formed Italian-American Heritage Society of Northeastern Pennsylvania, will host a St. Joseph’s Day Celebration at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Abington Community Library, 1200 W. Grove St.

The celebration, which is the society’s first major event since its formation in January, will feature clips from the PBS documentary “The Italian-Americans,” children’s crafts, a reading of “Strega Nona” by Tomie dePaola and an Italian-American food potluck.

Admission is free, but registration is requested by calling the library at 570-587-3440. Anyone interested in bringing a dish for the potluck may call the library or email SIAMO at info@siamonepa.com.

SIAMO will also host its next monthly Italian Language Hour at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20 at Adezzo Café, 515 Center St., Scranton.
