MOOSIC — Timmy Walsh, 13, an Olyphant and Dalton resident, and his Camera For A Cure once again joined the Children’s Advocacy Center NEPA as the junior photographer during the Tailgate For Kids event. The fundraiser was held at the Mohegan Sun Club inside the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Rail Riders PNC Field complex on Montage Mountain.
Featuring Mo’ne Davis along with teammates and coaches from the Taney Dragons, the baseball players signed autographs, posed for photos, mingled with the guests and had a question and answer session with those in attendance. The Taney Dragons won the Mid Atlantic Regional title during the Little League World Series in 2014.
The afternoon was filled with fun and games. The West Side Scranton cheerleaders entertained on the dance floor while DJ Jason Miller provided the music. Jeremy the Illusionist performed while The Sandlot kept the children busy with a sports themed obstacle course. The kids were able to create their own swag bags and photo frames. Storyteller Photography offered a photo booth.
Walking around the club, snapping candid photos of those in attendance, Walsh was able to capture the day for the staff of the Children’s Advocacy Center. The photos are available on his Facebook page, facebook.com/cameraforacure.
