SCRANTON — The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA) and Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) presented The University of Scranton with a $90,883 Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) grant. This project was processed for ARC funding by the NEPA Alliance and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Office of Appalachian Development, who recommended approval to ARC.
The $90,883 grant reflects 50 percent of the total equipment cost.
The goal of this project is to further educational attainment on the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Exercise Science by outfitting The University of Scranton’s new center for rehabilitation education with equipment and supplies necessary for the completion of the facility.
