Allied Services’ Janice Mecca earns specialist certification in psychiatric rehabilitation

    SCRANTON — Janice Mecca, B.S., M.S., C.P.R.P., a mental health worker at Allied Services Integrated Health System recently received her certification in psychiatric rehabilitation. Mecca is the fifth person in Lackawanna County to earn this certification and the title of Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner.

    The Dunmore native graduated from Marywood University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in clinical psychology. She has been accepted into Marywood University’s Ph.D program for human development.

    Mecca joined Allied Services Behavioral Health Division in 2013. Today, she works with individuals at five of Allied Services’ Behavioral Health Facilities in Lackawanna County providing supervision and support for activities of daily living.
