SCRANTON — Eagle Scout Tim Walsh, of Olyphant and Dalton recently met with state Rep. Marty Flynn, who presented him with a commendation from his office and another from Gov. Tom Wolf. Walsh was also presented with an American flag that was flown over the state capitol.

Walsh is a member of North Scranton Boy Scout Troop 57, chartered by the Mary Mother of God Parish Holy Rosary Church.

Flynn congratulated Walsh on his efforts earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He also discussed the Wyoming Seminary Lower School student’s community ties and work through his nonprofit organization, Camera For A Cure. With Walsh being a regular fixture at First Friday Scranton events and being active in social fundraising, volunteering and advocating with local nonprofits such as the Children’s Advocacy Center, Flynn conveyed his appreciation for all that Walsh has done and will continue to do within the region.
