Abington Community Library to host free Native American Mini Pow-Wow

The Abington Community Library will host a Native American Mini Pow-Wow for all ages from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 22.

CLARKS SUMMIT — The Abington Community Library will host a free Native American Mini Pow-Wow for all ages, featuring various performers and vendors, from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 22.

Performers include traditional Aztec dancers, the Salinas Family, award-winning hoop dancer Matt WhiteEagle, native flute player Lori Hawk and arena director and storyteller Tony Moon Hawk.

Vendors will also be on hand with handmade items for purchase, including Linda Greene’s fresh fry bread with various toppings; Salinas Family jewelry; Lori Hawk handmade beaded jewelry; Raven’s Curiosities, featuring glass and leather work, and Tony Moon Hawk, with a variety of native goods, such as furs, leather and jewelry.

The program will begin at 4 p.m., repeating at 5:30 p.m. No registration required.

The even is sponsored by the Friends of the Abington Community Library.
