PITTSBURGH — The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association recently presented the 2016 Outstanding Pharmacy Student Award to Mariah Deibert, who graduated from the Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy in May.

The Clarks Summit native, who recieved her Pharm.D. with a concentration certificate in acute care from Duquesne at the May 21 commencement ceremony, served as treasurer of the Duquesne Chapter of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association. She also attended Legislative Day at the Capitol with her fellow Duquesne students in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Deibert also attended the Association’s annual conference in 2014.

Deibert was a member of other professional pharmacy organizations, serving as president, treasurer and co-chair of the recruitment committee for Lambda Kappa Sigma Professional Fraternity for Women. She was also involved in the American Pharmacists Association and the Professional Fraternity Council. Deibert also presented a research paper at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ Mid-Year Meeting.
