1986 — Boy Scout troops 201, of Our Lady of the Snows, and 158, of the First Presbyterian Church, sold Clarks Summit 75th anniversary T-shirts.

1976 — The Clarks Summit Methodist Church held a flagpole dedication ceremony, at which Cmdr. John Richards was principal speaker.

1966 — The Abington Heights High School graduation ceremony was held outdoors, despite the wind and threat of rainstorms that never materialized.
