We must’ve blinked! How can it be August already? By the middle of this month the Dalton Community Library’s summer reading program and scheduled activities will come to a close.
What a great summer it’s been. Kids have been reading, enjoying the library and active at our programs all summer. It’s really been fun for all. We’ve laughed during our new, hit summer group, “Game Changers;” we’ve gotten so creative in our art group, and shared ideas and opinions about apps during App Attack! Our minds and bodies have become stronger and enlightened with our yoga class. And, our younger children have giggled and smiled each week at Story Time.
Don’t just take my word for it – Listen to what these kids have to say about summer at the Dalton Community Library:
“We have a lot of laughs!” said Luke.
“I like when we get really competitive when playing games like Monopoly,” Gavin. “I love Monopoly!”
“Since I am an only child, these kids that are all around my age have become my good friends,” said Jacob.
“I like the variety groups that are offered,” said Gianna.
“The groups are fun and entertaining for all ages,” said Danielle.
“The groups are so much fun and yoga class is very relaxing,” said Sylvan.
“I love the Game Changers group and playing Monopoly,” said Mia. “Everyone gets so competitive.”
“Yoga is fun and sometimes my mom does it, too,” said Leah.
There are still a few weeks left for our summer activities and the Summer Reading Program ends Aug. 5. Come join the fun while it lasts. And parents, please remind your children to finish up their reading logs and collect their prizes. The kids have worked hard and deserve all their prizes.
