TUNKHANNOCK — Beginning Friday, Oct. 14, the Dietrich Theater Warrior Writers group will change its meeting time to 7 to 9 p.m. every second Friday of the month.

Warrior Writers is a national program to empower veterans through creativity. Because there is such a great need to help veterans suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and other trauma related to serving in the military, the Wyoming County Cultural Center at the Dietrich Theater hosts a chapter of the Warrior Writers program, sponsored by the Tunkhannock Rotary Club. The group is facilitated by Warrior Writer trainer and instructor, Jenny Pacanowski and Gary Morgan, Vietnam War veteran.

All veterans are welcome to participate.

Warrior Writers will also meet from 7 to 9 p.m. on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11 at the Dietrich Theater, a time for remembrance and reflection.

A public reading will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Dietrich Theater, providing an opportunity for the writers to share their written words. All are welcome to this free presentation, and light refreshments will be provided afterwards.

For more information about the program, call the theater at 570-996-1500 or email wccc@epix.net.
