Lakeland Elementary student rewarding for reading prowess


Elementary students in the Lakeland School District were challenged to read for as many minutes as possible over the summer. Sixth-grader Kaitlynn Nichols read the most minutes of any student at the Scott campus. Her reward was the opportunity to hit librarian Bonnie Magagna in the face with a chocolate cream pie.
