SCRANTON — Continuing its dedication to teaching future generations of healthcare professionals, Lackawanna College announced it will relocate its successful surgical technology program to its Scranton campus in the fall 2017 semester.
For years, the program was housed in Lackawanna’s Towanda Center to train technologists who work under the direct supervision of surgeons and registered nurses as the college developed relationships with healthcare providers in Pennsylvania and New York.
Transitioning the program to Scranton will give students access to even more regional healthcare systems and open opportunities for residential housing.
Interested students can gain more information about the program and more of the college’s employment-driven Allied Health-related majors during the Healthcare Careers Information Night at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19. Registration is available online at www.lackawanna.edu/openhouse.
