HERSHEY — Abington Heights High School obtained a 4-star Healthy Champion Status through the Penn State PRO Wellness Champions Healthy Champions Program.

Abington Heights is among 32 percent of enrolled Pennsylvania schools that have achieved a 4-star status. Schools can obtain a maximum of five stars. Based on the Institute of Medicine’s recommendations for goals and strategies to prevent obesity, schools were awarded stars based on answers to questions in the following categories: community partnerships, nutrition and nutrition education, health promotion, physical education and activity, and employee wellness.
