RANSOM TWP. — The township’s proposed 2017 budget is available for review and includes no tax increases.
The tax rate is currently set at seven mills, with six for general purposes and one for fire. A mill is a $1 tax on every $1,000 of assessed property value.
The budget includes a total of $1,018,935 in revenues and the same number in expenditures. It is scheduled to come before the township supervisors for a vote during a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 at the township building on Hickory Lane.
