DANVILLE — Heather Acker, of Waverly Township, was elected vice chair of the Geisinger Health Board of Directors.
A board member since 2013, Acker also serves as vice chair of the audit and compliance committee and is a member of the finance, Geisinger family and emergency action committees. She is a member of the Geisinger Health Plan, Geisinger Indemnity Insurance Company and Geisinger Quality Options boards of directors.
Acker has been chief financial officer at Gentex Corporation for 20 years and executive vice president since 2010, responsible for all financial and administrative activities. A graduate of Bucknell University, she earned a master’s degree in business administration with distinction from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
She currently serves on the PNC Bank Regional Advisory Board, Kania School of Management Advisory Board Council, University of Scranton and the Institute Board. Her previous board memberships include Penn Millers Board of Directors, Community Medical Center, The Boys and Girls Club of Scranton, Scranton Chamber of Commerce and The Waverly Community House.
