TUNKHANNOCK — The Dietrich Theater will offer a free Preview Day, a chance to see all 23 trailers of the movies featured in the Spring Film Festival, at 1 and 6 p.m. Thursday, March 23. Concession treats will be discounted, whetting appetites for a visual extravaganza of some of the best foreign and independent films of the last few months.

The Festival will kick off on Friday, April 7 with an Opening Night Gala, featuring the acclaimed films “Lion” and “20th Century Women.” It will then continue for three weeks until April 27.

In addition to those of “Lion” and “20th Century Women,” there are 21 more film trailers to give attendees a taste of films, such as “Manchester By the Sea” with Casey Affleck, “Fences” with Denzel Washington and Viola Davis,” Jackie” with Natalie Portman, “Paterson,” about a bus driver who writes poetry; “All in Time,” set against the background of Wilkes-Barre; “The Salesman,” winner of the Best Foreign Language film at the Academy Awards; “Neruda,” about the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, and more.

No reservations are necessary and all are welcome to the Preview Day.
