CLINTON TWP. — Lackawanna Trail junior Alaina Jones qualified for the Pennsylvania Music Educators All-State Honors Band. This year’s All-State Conference will be held April 19-22 in Erie.

Jones has been involved with instrumental music at Lackawanna Trail since fifth grade and currently plays bass clarinet with the high school concert band. She previously performed with the District 9 Chorus during her sophomore year, and qualified for district chorus and band as well as region band this year.

In addition, Jones will represent Lackawanna Trail at the District 9 vocal jazz festival this spring. This is her first time being accepted to an All-State ensemble.

Jones also performs with the Lackawanna Trail Marching Band on tenor saxophone, the jazz band on baritone saxophone, and plays the piano recreationally.
