SCRANTON — The Catholic Choral Society will present its annual spring concerts at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 19 at St. Peter’s Cathedral, 315 Wyoming Ave., Scranton and at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at St. Ignatius Church, 339 N. Maple St., Kingston.

The Choral Society will host the Endless Mountains Barbershop Chorus, directed by Marty Wise as guest performers, on Friday evening and on Sunday the Good Shepherd Academy Senior Choir, directed by Thomas J. Hanlon, on Sunday evening.

The group, marking its 68th season, is composed of 50 members from Luzerne, Lackawanna, Wayne, Susquehanna and Wyoming counties.

Board members assisting co-presidents Brenda Grunza, of Nicholson, and Dr. Tom Rittenhouse, of Clarks Summit, in arranging the concert include: Nancy Flannery, of Kingston; Sheila O’Brien, of Dunmore;; Marie Williamson, of Old Forge; Lois Ostrowski, of Pittston; and Kate Conaboy, of Archbald.

Ann Manganello, of Exeter, is director and Jean Shields, of Scranton, is accompanist.

Tickets are available from society members, by calling 570-587-2753 or at the door. They are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students and free for children under age 12.
