CLARKS SUMMIT — Scranton Tennis Club (STC), a non-profit, seasonal outdoor membership-based tennis club serving Clarks Summit and the surrounding communities, is now accepting member applications for the 2017 season and will hold its annual Open House, featuring a free tennis clinic, on Saturday May 20.

Individual, family and junior club memberships are available and include “no court fee/no reservations required” access to six Har-Tru outdoor tennis courts, club house facilities, and leagues, tournaments, clinics, mixers and play groups for all levels.

For an additional fee, STC also offers a junior tennis camp from June 19-23 and Tuesday/Thursday summer weekly junior tennis clinics, open to members and non-members.

For this year’s Open House, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, with a rain date of Sunday, May 21, STC will host a free tennis clinic with tennis pro Joe McNulty at noon. The drill clinic is open to members and non-members of all ages and skill levels.

Players will enjoy free court play following the clinic. The Open House offers prospective members a chance to play, meet members, sign-up at a discounted new membership rate, enjoy complimentary refreshments and join leagues and play groups.
