Abington Heights defeated Montrose, 5-0, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 24 in Montrose. Caroline Mattise, Sondra Lionetti and Catherine Pusateri picked up singles wins. The teams of Lauren Carroll-Ajna Prahalad and Carolyn Hickman-Rachael Muir won doubles matches.

Abington Heights downed West Scranton, 5-0, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 26 in Clarks Summit. Caroline Mattise, Sondra Lionetti and Lauren Carroll had wins in singles play. The teams of Catherine Pusateri-Carolyn Hickman and Ajna Prahalad-Rachael Muir were victorious in doubles action.

Lackawanna Trail defeated Elk Lake, 5 1/2- 3 1/2, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 24 in Friendsville. Matt Kwiatkowski, Owen Hyde, Andy Faist and Cody Stuenzi had individual wins. Hyde and Faist picked up a better-ball victory and Noah Coleman-Stuenzi split a better-ball match.

Chiefs knock off Lions

Lakeland defeated Lackawanna Trail, 7-2, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 25 in Nicholson. Cody Stuenzi and Owen Hyde picked up individual wins for Trail.

Vikings too much for Lions

Riverside defeated Lackawanna Trail, 5-3, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 26 in Taylor. Matt Kwiatkowski split an individual match for Trail and Andy Faist and Owen Hyde picked up individual wins. Faist-Hyde had a win in better-ball competition.

Trail routs Red Raiders

Lackawanna Trail defeated Blue Ridge, 7-2, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 28 in Nicholson. Owen Hyde, Noah Coleman, Cody Stuenzi, and Evan Kongvold won individual matches and Andy Faist and Matt Kwiatkowski split matches. Coleman-Stuenzi and Kwiatkowski-Kongvold won in better-ball play.

Foresters black Lions

Forest City shut out Lackawanna Trail, 9-0, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 31 in Factoryville.

Cavs knock off Invaders

Scranton Prep defeated West Scranton, 8-1, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 24 in Taylor. John Redman, Frank Adamo, Juliano Nieto, Luke Wesolowski and Greg Goryeb had individual wins for Prep. Redman-Adamo, Nieto-Wesolowski and David Hazzouri-Goryeb were victorious in better-ball competition.

Prep shuts out Knights

Scranton Prep defeated Scranton, 9-0, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 26 in Lake Ariel. Marco Nieto, Sebastian Cimoch, Tom Keegan, Tyler Marchese, Jake Habeeb and Evan Murphy had individual wins for the Cavaliers. Nieto-Cimoch, Keegan-Marchese, and Habeeb-Murphy teamed for better-ball wins.

Classics team victorious in tourney

Scranton Prep won the Girls Jackman Tournament on Aug. 25 in Lake Ariel. Reilly Ruane led the Classics with a score of 83. Alex Fitzsimmons and Lauren Golden each shot 91 and Gabby Hanstein carded a 98.

Cougars down Cavaliers

Valley View defeated Scranton Prep, 5 1/2- 3 1/2, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 28 in Lake Ariel. Sebastian Cimoch and Tom Keegan picked up individual wins. Cimoch-Marco Nieto split a better-ball match and Keegan-Tyler Marchese won a better-ball match.

Cavs hold off Wildcats

Scranton Prep downed Western Wayne, 5 1/2 – 3 1/2, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 31 in Lake Ariel. John Redman, Greg Goryeb, Juliano Nieto had individual wins and Luke Wesolowski earned a split. Redmond-Goryeb and Nieto-Wesolowski picked up better-ball victories.

Comets too much for Wildcats

Abington Heights downed Western Wayne, 8-1, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 24 in Waymart. Matt Mecca, Troy Kelleher, Andrew Jalowiec, Luke Fayocavitz and Colin Florey had individual wins for the Comets. Sahas Chandragiri split his individual match. Mecca-Kelleher and Jalowiec-Fayocavitz had better-ball wins and Chandragiri-Florey split their better-ball match.

Comets overcome Cougars

Abington Heights defeated Valley View, 6 1/2- 2 1/2, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 26 in Clarks Summit. Andrew Jalowiec, Sam MacGregor, Luke Fayocavitz and Sahas Chandragiri won individual matches and Matt Mecca picked up a split for the Comets. MacGregor-Fayocavitz and Mecca-Chandragiri won better-ball matches.

Abington Heights downed North Pocono, 5 1/2 – 3 1/2, in a Lackawanna League match on Aug. 28 in Clarks Summit. Luke Fayocavitz, Andrew Jalowiec and Matt Mecca had individual wins and Sam MacGregor split his match. The teams of Fayocavitz-MacGregor and Mecca-Sahas Chandragiri won better-ball matches.
