SOUTH ABINGTON TWP. — The Abington Heights boys soccer team was among 42 boys and girls programs in the United States to receive the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) 2015 Fall High School Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award.

The Comets were the only boys team in Pennsylvania to receive the award this fall.

Methacton High School, Mt. St. Joseph Academy and Phoenixville High School were the three girls programs in the state to receive the award.

The award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season.

Abington Heights was recognized at the Silver level for receiving between one and five yellow cards during the past season.
