Factoryville Sportsmen’s Club meeting, 7:30 p.m. March 30 at the clubhouse on Lake Winola Road. Chairman Bruce Weisenfluh is distributing the spring “Super Gun” tickets; please see him for availability. Also, tickets for the Henry Rifle raffle are in limited supply.

Abington Little League Registration, open now through April 1. Cost: $85 per player. Register/info: www.abingtonlittleleague.com. The league hosts divisions for all ages. Opening day is tentatively slated for April 9.

Bike Scranton, begins April 1. The goal of the free bike share program hosted by Lackawanna Heritage Valley National and State Heritage Area is to encourage people to adopt cycling as a form of regular exercise and explore the city of Scranton and Lackawanna River Heritage Trail. Bicyclists can visit one of four share sites in the city (Lackawanna Heritage Valley headquarters, Hilton Scranton and Conference Center, Cedar Bike & Paddle, and the Weinberg Memorial Library at the University of Scranton. Participants must be 18 or older, present a valid driver’s license or ID, and sign a liability waiver to borrow a bike. Helmets are provided. Bikes may be borrowed for a few hours or a full day.

AHEA Student Scholarship 5K Run/Walk, April 17, registration from 8-8:45 a.m. The run begins at 9 a.m., walk at 9:10. The race will start and finish at Abington Heights High School. All proceeds will benefit a graduating senior from the school district. Cost: $20 pre-registration, $25 same day registration. The first 125 runners receive a T-shirt. The top three male and female finishers revive a medal. Fred Loch Memorial Scholarship Shoot, May 1 at the Factoryville Sportsmen’s Club on Lake Winola Road. Shooting on the clay bird sporting clays course will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a steak dinner at 11:30 p.m. The shoot helps fund the club’s scholarship program for graduating seniors at Lackawanna Trail and Tunkhannock High School. Cost: $25 per shooter for 50 birds or $45 for 100 birds. Shooters will need to provide their own ammunition, but shotguns will be available. Heritage Explorer Golf Tournament, June 26 at Pine Hills Country Club in Taylor. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Tee-off at 8 a.m. Captain and crew format. Lunch will be served following an awards ceremony. In addition to 18 holes of golf, there will be live entertainment, contests and door prizes. Cost: $100, $50 for lunch only.
