Abington Heights defeated West Scranton, 5-0, in a Lackawanna League match on Wednesday, March 30 in Scranton. Sahas Chandragiri, Rishi Mulloth and Brandon Ostrowski had singles wins. The teams of Jacob Linker-Eric Mahoney and Timmy Christman-Owen Holland won in doubles play.

Comets sweep Meteors

Abington Heights defeated Montrose, 5-0, in a Lackawanna League match on Tuesday, March 29 in Clarks Summit. Sahas Chandragiri, Rishi Mulloth and Brandon Ostrowski had singles wins. The teams of Jacob Linker-Eric Mahoney and Timmy Christman-Owen Holland won in doubles play.

Cavs crush Hornets

Scranton Prep defeated Honesdale, 5-0, in a Lackawanna League match on Tuesday, March 29 in Honesdale. Pete Kazmierczak, Tarquin McGurrin and Sahil Garg had singles wins. The teams of Nick LaBelle-Logan Gregory and Dan Zych-Alex Riccio won in doubles play.

Comets hold off Warriors

Abington Heights downed Delaware Valley, 83-67, in a Lackawanna League meet on Wednesday, March 30 in Milford. Greg Borgia placed first in the 110 and 300 hurdles for the Comets. Dan Uhranowsky finished first in the 800 and 1600, Jack Malone was first in the 3200, Matt Coggins placed first in the shot put, Ty Newman finished first in the javelin, Bailey Harris was first in the long and triple jump and pole vault. The Comets 3200 relay team of Kazimir Fonatarosa, Adam Traweek, Kyle Kostiak and Mark DeSeta also placed first.

Lions edge Vikings

Lackawanna Trail tied Riverside, 73-73, in a Lackawanna League meet on Tuesday, March 29 in Factoryville but the Lions were credited with the victory for having more first-place finishes. Trail’s Dakota Moyle placed first in the 110 and 300 hurdles, Matt Kinback finished first in the 1600 and high jump, Bobby Titus was first in the 3200, Cody Stuenzi placed first in the javelin, long jump and triple jump, Colin Holmes finished first in the pole vault, and the Lions team of Stuenzi, Sam Vierling, Jared Klepaldo and Titus was first in the 3200 relay.

Wildcats top Cavs

Western Wayne defeated Scranton Prep, 80-69, in a Lackawanna League meet on Tuesday, March 29 in Lake Ariel. David Horvath placed first in the 100 for the Cavaliers. Tristen Shoemaker finished first in the 400, Tommy Doherty was first in the 800, Lucas Stage placed first in the javelin, and Nick Atherton-Ely finished first in the high jump. The team of Shoemaker, Mike Decarli, Colin Jenkins and Austin Bolus was first in the 3200 relay, and the team of Stage, Kevin Holmes, Jake Ryan, and Horvath was first in the 400 relay.

Lady Comets rout Lady Warriors

Abington Heights topped Delaware Valley, 95-54, in a Lackawanna League meet on Wednesday, March 30 in Milford. Allyson Derry placed first in the 100 and long and triple jumps for Abington. Katie Dammer finished first in the 800 and 1600, Dani Beamish was first in the 400, Emily Clauss placed first in the 200, Alex Scheuerman finished first in the 3200, and Danielle Heine was first in the pole vault. The Lady Comets 3200 relay (Ellie Wright, Lexi Myers, Tiana Yarns, Carly Danoski), 1600 relay (Celia Davis, Danoski, Faith Judson, Dammer) and 400 relay (Kelsey Wynn, Clauss, Emma Henzes, Derry) teams also placed first.

Lady Vikings knock off Lady Lions

Riverside defeated Lackawanna Trail, 82-54, in a Lackawanna League meet on Tuesday, March 29 in Factoryville. Courtney Petrilak placed first in the 100 and 300 hurdles and long jump for Trail. Amanda Kinback finished first in the 3200, and Jordan Laytos was first in the javelin. The team of Kinback, Lili Martin, Lauren Beemer and Elizabeth Rodenbach placed first in the 3200 relay.

Lady Wildcats down Classics

Western Wayne defeated Scranton Prep, 85-64, in a Lackawanna League meet on Tuesday, March 29 in Lake Ariel. Kaitlin McGrath placed first in the 100 hurdles and 100 and triple jump for Prep. Erin Feeney finished first in the 1600, Alix Weston was first in the 400, Kate Reilly placed first in the 800, Maeve Ducas finished first in the 200, and AJ Hendershot was first in the javelin. The team of Mia Bellucci, Kate Welby, Lucy Doherty and Allison Walsh placed first in the 3200 relay.
