Elk Lake defeated Lackawanna Trail, 65-47, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game Jan, 27 in Dimock. Ronnie Traver scored 13 points to lead the Lions and Shawn Jones added 12.

Comets rout Buckhorns

Seth Maxwell scored a game-high 16 points to help Abington Heights defeat Wallenpaupack, 60-20, in a Lackawanna League Division 1-2 crossover game Jan. 27 in South Abington Township. George Tinsley added 15 for the Comets.

Lady Warriors top Lady Lions

Elk Lake defeated Lackawanna Trail, 49-32, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game Jan. 25 in Clinton Township. Lexie Kwiatkowski scored 11 points to lead Trail and Allison Decker added 10.

Lady Comets crush Lady Cougars

Hannah Kowalski scored a game-high 21 points to help Abington Heights defeat Valley View, 56-39, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 game Dec. 25 in South Abington Township. Olivia Baker added nine for the Lady Comets.

Lady Comets hold off Lady Buckhorns

Alessia Brunori scored a game-high 16 points to lead Abington Heights over Wallenpaupack, 53-47, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 game Jan. 26 in Hawley. Hannah Kowalski added 10 points for Abington Heights.

Lady Lady fall to Lady Meteors

Montrose defeated Lackawanna Trail, 41-38, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game Jan. 27 in Montrose. Lexie Kwiatkowski led the Lady Lions with 14 points and Laurelann Penn added 11.

Lady Foresters knock off Lady Lions

Forest City defeated Lackawanna Trail, 62-30, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game Jan. 3o in Forest City. Lexie Kwiatkowksi scored 11 points to lead the Lady Lions and Cali Fauquier added 10.

Comets, Lions compete in event

Abington Heights and Lackawanna Trail participated in the second Clarks Summit University Run at the Rec Jan. 27. Abington Heights’ Emily Clauss placed sixth in the girls’ 55 meter dash, Alex Scheuermann finished fourth in the 1600 meter run for the Lady Comets, Calista Marzolino was third in the 55 meter hurdles for Abington Heights, and Danielle Heine placed tenth in the high jump for the Lady Comets. Abington Heights’ Christian Sylvester finished fifth in the boys 55 meter dash, Chris Schimelfenig was third in the 400 meter run for the Comets, Bryce Steele placed fifth in the 55 meter hurdles for Abington Heights, Lackawanna Trail’s Matt Kinback placed first in the high jump and third in the 1600 meter run and Abington Heights’ Antonio Maletta finished sixth in the high jump.

Knights knock off Comets

Scranton defeated Abington Heights, 58-21, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 match Jan. 25 in Scranton. Aidan Price and Logan Hivner won by pin for Abington Heights. Adam Wellard won by decision and R.J. Knott by forfeit for the Comets.

Meteors down Lions

Montrose defeated Lackawanna Trail, 57-12, in a Lackawanna League Division 2 match Jan. 25 in Montrose. Cullen Ratchford and Jacob Brim won by forfeit for the Lions.

Cavaliers topple Lions

Scranton Prep defeated Lackawanna Trail, 69-12, in a Lackawanna League Division 2 match Jan. 25 in Montrose. Justin Ganser and Tyler Baltrusaitis had pins for Trail.

Lions edge Warriors

Lackawanna Trail defeated Elk Lake, 42-33, in a Lackawanna League Division 2 match Jan. 26 in Honesdale. Tyler Baltrusaitis , Dylan Ganser and Cody Moyle had pins for the Lions. Cullen Ratchford, Justin Ganser, Trent Ashley and Mark DeBree won by forfeit for Trail.

Hornets hammer Lions

Honesdale defeated Lackawanna Trail, 60-9, in a Lackawanna League Division 2 match Jan. 26 in Honesdale. Cullen Ratchford won by pin and Justin Ganser by decision for the Lions.
