Danville Dolphins sweep Abington Gators in youth swim meet

DANVILLE — The Abington Gators boys and girls teams lost to the Danville Dolphins in a Northeastern Pennsylvania Age Group Swim League meet Feb. 4.

In the boys 123-83 loss, Kevin Noldy placed first in the 12U 200-yard freestyle, 50-yard freestyle; Kevin Guditus finished first in the 12U 100-yard individual medley and 50-yard breaststroke; Nathan Steenback was first in the 14U 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke, and second in the 100-yard breaststroke; Thomas Scott placed first in the 12U 50-yard butterfly and third in the 50-yard backstroke; and Ethan Scotch finished second in the 10U 100-yard individual medley 50-yard backstroke, and third in the 50-yard freestyle.

Also, Jason Casper was second in the 8U 25-yard freestyle and 25-yard butterfly; Hudson Brown placed second in the 14U 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke; Gabriel Stec finished third in the 12U 50-yard butterfly; Derek Williams was third in the 8U 50-yard freestyle and 25-yard backstroke; Geoffrey Stanton placed second in the 10U 100-yard freestyle; Joey Acla finished second in the 12U 50-yard breaststroke and third in the 100-yard freestyle; Alec Allspaugh was fourth in the 8U 25-yard breaststroke; and Mason Klimas placed fourth in the 10U 50-yard breaststroke.

The 12U 200-yard medley relay team (Noldy, Guditus, Scott, Daniel Casper) placed first and the team of Geoff Brock, Acla, Andrew LaQuintano and Eric Moran was second.

The 8U 100-yard medley relay team (Williams, Wade Nelson, Jason Casper, Allspaugh) placed second. The 8U 100-yard freestyle relay team (Williams, Nelson, Orion Grose, Jason Casper) finished second.

The 10U 200-yard freestyle relay team (Stanton, Klimas, Ethan Grives, Scotch) placed second.

The 12U 200-yard freestyle relay team (Acla, Scott, Guditus, Noldy) finished first and the team of Brock, LaQuintano, Moran and Stec was second.

In the girls 195-42 loss, Abby Brock placed second in the 14 U 100-yard breaststroke and third in the 200-yard freestyle; Veronica Matthies finished fourth in the 10U 100-yard individual medley; Diana Clegg was second in the 12U 100-yard individual medley and 50-yard backstroke; Jessie Noldy placed third in the 12U 100-yard individual medley and 100-yard freestyle; and Domenica A. Scott finished third in the 14U 200-yard individual medley and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke.

Also, Audra Wimmer was first in the 8U 25-yard freestyle and second in the 50-yard freestyle; Stella Kwiecinski placed third in the 10U 50-yard freestyle and 50-yard breaststroke; Lilly Haggerty finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle; Lilly Hufford was fourth in the 14U 50-yard freestyle; Allison Stanton placed third in the 8U 25-yard butterfly; Maisy Earl finished second in the 12U 50-yard freestyle; Maggie Walko was fourth in the 10U 100-yard freestyle; Waverly Klimas placed third in the 8U 25-yard backstroke; Allie Pettinato finished third in the 10U 50-yard backstroke; Kara Rillstone was third in the 8U 25-yard breaststroke; and Phoebe Davidock placed third in the 12U 50-yard breaststroke.

The 14U 200-yard medley relay team (Clegg, Brock, Amelia Campbell, Haggerty), the 12U 200-yard medley relay team (Hufford, Davidock, Earl, Noldy), the 8U 100-yard medley relay team (Hadley Pallman, Klimas, Stanton, Wimmer) the 8U 100-yard freestyle relay team (Pallman, Isabella Rinaldi, Klimas, Wimmer), the 10U 200-yard freestyle relay team (Catalina Matthies, Maya Koehler, Caitlin Chesna, Delilah McKnight) and the 12U 200-yard freestyle relay team (Hufford, Haggerty, Campbell, Noldy) all finished third.

The 10U 200-yard freestyle relay team (Kwiecinski, Veronica Matthies, Walko, Pettinato) and the 14U 200-yard freestyle relay team (Clegg, Earl, Brock, Scott) each placed second.
