    Newton Recreation Center fall and winter hours, 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday through May 2017. The center is located at 1814 Newton Ransom Blvd., Clarks Summit. Info: Carol at 570-586-7808.

    Introduction to the Japanese martial art of Aikido, classes meet Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Clarks Summit Fire Hall, 321 Bedford St. The class will help improve conditioning, balance, flexibility and self-defense skills. Cost: $15 per class. Info: John Palumbo at 570-587-5791.

    Free Teen Fly Fishing Lessons, the set of nine lessons, which began Jan. 7, will be held every other Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. at the Scott Township municipal building.     T-Ball Camp, the four-week program, for boys and girls ages 4-6, will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 12:30 to 1:3o p.m. on Sundays, beginning March 18 and 19, at the Sandlot Baseball Academy, 337 E.     Fly Fishing Video Tour and Expo, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 25 in Brooks Hall at Keystone College. Sponsored by the Keystone Creekwalkers Fly Fishing Club and Trout Unlimited, the event will include vendors, presentations, environmental agencies and door prizes.     Abington Junior Comets football and cheerleading registration, 6 to 8 p.m. April 5 and noon to 2 p.m. May 20 in the team room of the high school field house. Also, 9 a.m. to noon June 10 during the Forever Young Fishing Derby at Hillside Park.

    Introduction to Fly Fishing Program, 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at Hillside Park. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is offering a free Introduction to Fly Fishing program, designed for families interested in learning the basics of fly fishing equipment, casting techniques and on water skills. No fishing license or equipment needed. Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. April 20 and can be completed online at fishandboat.com, under the “calendar of events.” Info: 570-477-2206.

    4th annual “Swing for Home” golf tournament, 9 a.m. shotgun start May 8 at Huntsville Golf Club, 30 Hayfield Road, Shavertown. 2017. Rain date: May 17. The tournament benefits the Home Base Foundation, which identifies, motivates, and clinically treats returning service members with combat stress and traumatic brain injury, and provides support and education for their families. Cost: $150 per player/$125 by March 15, includes use of range and putting green, breakfast, green fees and cart, use of locker room, lunch and prizes. The deadline to register is April 14.
