LA PLUME — Keystone College’s men’s tennis team earned their second Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) 3-D Sportsmanship Award in the last three years. The award honors the teams from each sport that best exemplified the NCAA Division III principles of “Discover, Develop, Dedicate.”

Keystone’s men’s tennis team, led by third-year head coach Matt Erney, went 1-9 this past spring with a 1-6 record in conference play, recording their only victory of the season in their last match at Rosemont College, 6-3. The Giants also won the CSAC 3-D Sportsmanship Award in the spring of 2014.

The 3-D Award was developed prior to the 2011 academic year by the CSAC’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Following each conference contest, participating teams were asked to evaluate their opponents based on the three aforementioned Division III principles, giving a rating of 1-10 in each “D” category.
