LA PLUME — Keystone College named Chris Kibler as head coach of its men’s and women’s cross country and track & field teams.

Kibler replaces Michael Badway, who stepped down from the position after seven years with the Giants and begins his duties at Keystone effective July 1.

Kibler takes over at the helm of Keystone’s programs after spending four seasons as the associate head cross country/track & field coach at Fitchburg State University before serving as a volunteer assistant coach at Wake Forest University this past spring working with the Demon Deacons’ track & field and cross country teams.

Kibler was the association head cross country and track & field coach at Fitchburg State from August 2012 through this past January. During his time with the Falcons, Kibler was instrumental in the Falcons’ recruiting efforts while helping to attract student-athletes from across the northeast to join the program. Additionally, Kibler developed personalized training programs for each athlete, led practice sessions, and helped oversee the academic success of the team’s student-athletes.

In January, Kibler became a volunteer assistant coach at Division I Wake Forest where he helped lead day-to-day practices for runners and assisted in post-workout training to reduce injuries. Kibler also played a vital part in the Demon Deacon’s recruiting efforts which attracted student-athletes from all part of the United States as well as internationally while also helping oversee the academic success of the team’s student-athletes.
