Interdependence Day planned

The Greater Scranton Interdependence Day Committee and the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties plan for the 2012 Interdependence Day. A ceremony and reception in commemoration of Interdependence Day will be held September 12 at Shopland Hall, The Scranton Cultural Center, 420 North Washington Avenue, Scranton from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The keynote address "Interdependence Matters" will be presented by Michael MacDowell, President of Misericordia University. Presentation of the 2012 Interdependence Award will be made to Jeanne Bovard, Retired Director of The
Scranton Area Foundation.
