The Miners Beer Garden, 302 Pancoast St., Dickson City, Nov 19. Regular inspection; in compliance.

Nonno’s Pizza & Family Restaurant, 6 Radcliffe Drive, Moosic, Nov. 19. Opening inspection; in compliance. Violations: Food employee observed in pre area, wearing bracelet on arms. An open employee’s beverage container was observed on prep table, a food preparation area. Bread crumbs food ingredient storage containers, in the prep area, not labeled with the common name of the food. Final rinse pressure gauge on high temperature dish machine is inoperable. Door handle on double door stand-up reach-in cooler has duct tape repair. Duct tape is not an easily cleaned surface. Toilet rooms do not have a self-closing door.

Northeast Intermediate, Adams Ave. at Gibson St., Scranton, Nov. 19. Regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Ware- wash sink has a hose attachment that is hanging below the flood rim of the sink and not an appropriate air gap. Floor between ware-wash sink and prep table in the kitchen area is cracked, roughened and is not a smooth, easily cleanable surface.

Pancher’s Mexican Grill 1801, 2011 Shoppes Blvd. Moosic. Nov. 19. Opening inspection; in compliance. Violations: Refrigerated ready-to-eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the walk-in refrigerator, is not being date marked. New food facility in operation more than 90 days and has not employed a certified food employee as required. Beef observed thawing in standing water in the prep sink, which is not an approved thawing method. No sign or poster posted at the hand-wash sink in the rest room area to remind food employees to wash their hands.

Panera Bread, 1151 Shoppes Blvd. Moosic, Nov. 19. Opening inspection; in compliance. Violation: Food employees observed in prep area not wearing proper hair restraints such as nets, hats.

Paradise Inn, 186 Route 106, Greenfield Township, Nov. 19. Regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Plumbing system not maintained in good repair. Observed loose leaking faucet at the hand wash in the kitchen area. Floor in the kitchen area is not level and in need of repair.

Roberto’s, 635 Luzerne St., Scranton, Nov. 19. Regular inspection; in compliance.

The Pizza Guys, 7 N. Church St., Carbondale, Nov. 19. Regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Food employees observed in food prep area, not wearing hair restraints, such as nets or hats. Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in walk-in cooler equipment. Observed walk-in cooler equipment , fan guard , with an accumulation of dust debris on non-food contact surfaces. Floor in the food prep area, is made of tile, and is not durable, smooth, non-porous, non-absorbent.

Amadeo’s Restaurant & Catering, LLC, 4001 Birney Ave., Moosic, Nov. 19. Opening inspection; in compliance. Violations: Sugar, bread crumbs ingredient storage containers, in the storage area, is not labeled with the common name of the food. Observed deeply scored cutting boards not resurfaced or discarded as required. Meat slicer, a food contact surface, was observed to have old food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Person in charge cleaned during this inspection.

Barbour’s Bakery, 55 Salem Ave., Carbondale, Nov. 19. Regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Observed food containers stored directly on the floor in food processing area, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required. Unlabeled plastic spray bottle holding a clear liquid observed in the food prep area. Corrected on site. Observed equipment, in food processing area with an accumulation of dust, food residue, debris on non-food contact surfaces. Lights are not shielded or shatter proof over the food prep area. Floor surfaces beneath equipment in the food processing area of the food facility is dirty, dusty, and in need of cleaning.

Violations: The food facility does not have the original certificate for the certified food employee posted in public view. Manager to email this inspector a copy of certificate. Riverside Elementary East, Kreig & School Streets, Moosic, Nov. 24. Regular inspection; in compliance. Violation: Clean dish racks observed stored on the floor in ware-wash area.

Vamco, Fuel, 801 Northern Blvd., Clarks Summit, Nov. 24. Follow-up inspection; in compliance. Violations: Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. Unisex toilet room is not provided with a covered waste receptacle for sanitary napkins.
