The 31st annual Paul “Hook” O’Malley 1 Mile Firecracker Race Against Cancer will be held on Sunday, Aug. 20 at 707 N. South Road, Scranton. Race registration will be from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. The race will start promptly at 10 a.m. Hook O’Malley was a local boxing trainer who succumbed to cancer on Sept. 25, 1992.
