DUNMORE — Dalton residents Martin and Sylinda Alfred are victims of arson, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
According to the police report, the fire at the Alfred’s property in Lake Township, Susquehanna County, occurred around 3:24 a.m. Sunday, June 19 and completely destroyed a vacant farmhouse south of Birchardville Road on SR 267. The report states this was the second fire at this home, the first occurring in September of 2013.
“A pickup truck was observed pulling into the grassy area near the home about 15 minutes prior to the fire,” states the report. “Within minutes the home was fully engulfed in flames.”
